Sitting Pretty specialise in all aspects of upholstery restoration, antique, contempory and commercial. Our master craftsmen will pick up your upholstery and transport it to our workshop on the Suffolk/Essex border.
There our master craftsmen will carefully strip your piece of upholstery down, taking time to examine how your piece was upholstered and with a combined experience of over 100 years our master craftsmen will recognise if your furniture has been altered at any time over the years. We will reupholster your piece of upholstery, washing and re-using the original horse hair and retaining as much of the original materials as possible.
Sitting Pretty master craftsmen use traditional methods that have been handed down from master craftsmen to apprentice for generations, using only the finest natural materials.
Our craftsmen are proud to put their name and date on each piece of restored upholstery so it's provenance and history are easily traced.
We offer a very high quality service for loose covers. We collect your furniture and a loose cover is handmade to fit perfectly around your chair or sofa.
You can come to our shop to view or vast selection of designer fabrics or alternativly we can send fabric samples direct to you for your selection.
