Sitting Pretty is in Sudbury, which is on the Suffolk/Essex border. We are a family business who believe in giving a very high level of personal service. Our customers tend to come back project after project, be it a small Roman blind or a whole room scheme.
At Sudbury we offer a bespoke handmade curtain service including blinds, pelmets and valences. It’s a very personal service where we will come out and assist you with your project. All of our curtains are handmade to the highest standard using only the “finest natural materials”.
We hold a fabulous selection of period furniture and have a good reputation for comfy classic wing chairs and sofas. These are completely restored and re-upholstered in calico to give the customer absolute freedom to choose the fabric they want. Our fabric library holds all of the best in design fabrics such as Colefax & Fowler, GP & J Baker, Mulberry, Osbourne and Little, Andrew Martin, Romo, Jane Churchill and many more. We offer a complete design service and can assist in furniture and window treatments.
Sitting Pretty offers a large range of interior accessories including lamps, mirrors, throws and a range of little gift ideas. We stock a selection of Mulberry Home interior accessories which can also be ordered and delivered to your door.
Our paint and wall paper designs can enhance any room from a pretty Jane Churchill spot to a grand Farrow & Ball Damask. We stock Farrow & Ball and Zoffany sample pots with stunning wallpapers to match. All of these can be conveniently delivered to your door.
We offer a bespoke furniture making service and can handcraft ant sofa, chair, headboard or cabinet to your exact dimensions and specifications, other services include antique restoration, repolishing, caning, rushing and all aspects of soft furnishings.
